If you wake up with pain in the morning, then there are a few things you need to look at to find the cause of the problem. Your sleeping position, your mattress, and your jaw are the primary causes of pain first thing in the morning. Your mattress might not be supporting your back, and your pillow might not be supporting your neck properly. Sleeping on your stomach is the worst position you can sleep in, and if you grind and clench your teeth at night, this can cause severe pain. These are some of the basic problems I have found that can cause you to wake up with pain. If your problems are more complicated, consult your chiropractor or medical doctor.
