Today is National Iced Tea Day!
Not only is iced tea a great thirst quencher, especially for those warm summer days, but tea, whether you drink it hot or cold, has many health benefits. Just to list a few... tea contains enzymes that aid in digestion, help burn fat and fend off bacteria ,tea also contains antioxidants that can supply our bodies with protection from free-radical damage, which can help prevent premature aging and protect againist disease...who doesn't want any or all of these perks? Drinking approximately 3 or more glasses/cups a day is what is recommended to get the most benefits. So think about substituting your energy drinks or sodas for iced tea....a much healthier choice.
